Better World Stories & Videos

Beginning in 2006, with the publication of its first Better World Reports, AUTM’s members have been telling their stories about the many ways that research discoveries and new technologies are building a better world. Over the years since 2006, some 500 of these stories have been published. To take a look at all the Featured Stories that have been posted on the AUTM website since 2012, go to www.betterworldproject.org/search-stories.

More recently, AUTM has expanded the Better World Project to tell the world about the benefits of tech transfer through videos that put a face on tech transfer. The videos showcase examples of real people impacted by technology advancements that help them lead healthier, safer and more fulfilling lives. You can view the collection of Better World Project videos at www.autm.net/Put_A_Face_On_It_Videos.htm.

500 Better World stories … and counting!

In 2015, we reached a milestone that reflects the sustained interest and involvement that AUTM members and our colleagues around the world have demonstrated in the Better World Project itself, as well as in the more recent Put A Face On It initiative.

That milestone was the posting of the 500th Better World Project story in the form of a video that tells the story of how Lehigh University inventor Arup K. SenGupta, Ph.D., and Aqua Bengal Enterprise are making sure that more than a million people now have access to safe, affordable drinking water, thanks to an innovative water filtration system that removes naturally occurring arsenic from groundwater.
